Build and run agents on Vercel

Build agents, run them on agentic infrastructure, and put them to work across your business.
A person asks a business intelligence agent how revenue trended last quarter by region, and the agent replies with what it found. Below, a dark cube seen corner-on, its near edges lit where they meet, stands for Vercel's agent stack. Scrolling or pointing at the cube pulls its six faces apart, one per part, and light from inside shines through the gaps. Hovering or tapping a face notes what that part did for the answer, such as querying Snowflake through Connect.

Vercel's agent stack

Everything an agent needs, from the framework that defines it to a secure computer and storage of its own.

Build agents with eve

eve is the open-source framework at the core of Vercel's agent stack. Define an agent as a directory of TypeScript and Markdown, and deploy it with one command.

  • Instructions and skills

Write what the agent does in Markdown, with skills it loads when a task calls for them.
  • Tools in TypeScript

Give the agent typed tools, like a SQL query, that run safely in Sandbox.
  • Any model

Pick a model for each agent through AI Gateway, and switch with one line.
  • Channels and connections

Meet your team in Slack or web chat, and reach data in Snowflake, Notion, and more.
The Vercel agent builder set up for a data agent: its instructions, a Claude model through AI Gateway, Slack as its channel, and a Snowflake connection.

An agent for every team

Agents take on real work across the business, from analytics to support.

Frequently asked questions

What is Vercel's agent stack?
Vercel's agent stack is the set of Vercel products for building and running agents: eve to define them, AI Gateway for models, Sandbox for secure code execution, Workflows for durable runs, Connect for integrations, and Drives for persistent storage.
Why do agents need Sandbox and Drives?
Agents write and run code, install packages, and work with files. Sandbox gives each agent an isolated microVM to do that safely, and Drives keeps its files and state between runs.
Do I own my agents?
Yes. eve is open source. Agents are TypeScript and Markdown that run as standard Node.js processes, so they stay portable. On Vercel, deploying one takes a single command: vercel deploy.
Do I have to use eve?
No. AI Gateway, Sandbox, Workflows, Connect, and Drives work with any code that runs on Vercel, including agents built with the AI SDK. eve brings them together with conventions for tools, skills, and channels.
Which models can my agents use?
Choose from hundreds of closed and open weight models through AI Gateway, with provider failover. Configure models for individual agents and change them with one line of code as your needs evolve.
